Simply put, NPR rocks. I pull up the news with an app on my phone
which I (admittedly shamefully) probably wouldn't read if it took any
more than a fraction of a second to find. Yesterday marked the 50th anniversary of the first admission of a black student to Mississippi State University, and the deadly riot that went with it.
Today I'm listening to a playlist NPR has called 'Songs of the Civil Rights Movement.'
Anytime I hear these songs, I beg myself to remember to go home and
download them, which, until today, I inevitably forget to do.
